In the early hours of the morning on Thursday, September 10, a woman was killed in a single vehicle crash on Highway 1804.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 1804 around mile marker 37.5. in Emmons County. Deborah Logan aged 58 and of McKenzie was driving her 1991 Suzuki Sidekick and she lost control on a curve and the vehicle rolled into a ditch. Logan was ejected and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if she was wearing a seatbelt nor what caused her to lose control.
The Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
Logan was born in Turtle Lake and graduated from the Sheyenne River Academy in Harvey. She then moved to attend college in Lincoln Nebraska and returned to farm near Butte and then moved to Velva where she worked at Souris Valley Care Center. Following her graduation from United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck with her diploma in medical transcription she continued to work as a CNA in Bismarck.
