On June 27, a serious accident on the Bismark Expressway killed two women and left one in a coma.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the accident happened near McKenzie drive when a vehicle being driven by 28 year old Jordan Ray Morsette of Bismark hit a vehicle being driven by 21 year old Shayna Monson of Dickinson.
Two passengers in Monson’s car, 21 year old Taylor Goven of Mandan and 22 year old Abby Renschler of Lincoln were both killed. Monson suffered severe head trauma and was left in a critical condition.
The police said that Morsette had a strong smell of alcohol and alcohol was also found in his vehicle. He was charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of criminal vehicular injury.
Monson was admitted to Kindred Hospital Denver in Denver, Colorado for therapy and rehabilitation. Her brain is now waking up and she needs to re learn how to speak and walk again.
